- UK Fiancé / Proposed Civil Partner Visa
The UK Fiancé Visa (also called Proposed Civil Partner Visa) allows your fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner to come to the UK so that you can get married or register a civil partnership. This visa gives them up to 6 months stay in the UK to complete the marriage or partnership plans. After marriage, they can apply to extend their stay on a Spouse or Partner visa.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this visa, you must:
✔ Be at least 18 years old.
✔ Be in a genuine relationship and have met in person.
✔ Plan to marry or form a civil partnership within 6 months of arriving in the UK.
✔ Intend to live together in the UK after marriage.
✔ Meet the financial requirement.
✔ Meet the English language requirement.
✔ Have adequate accommodation available for you both.
Financial Requirement
Most applications must show that you or your UK‑based partner has a combined income of at least PKR 13 million per year to support your fiancé(e) without public funds. You may also meet this by using savings or other income sources if required
English Language Requirement
Your fiancé(e) must show they can speak and understand basic English (A1 level CEFR) unless exempt (for example, if they have a degree taught in English or are from an English‑speaking country).

- The visa is usually granted for 6 months to enter the UK and get married or enter into a civil partnership.
- After marriage, your partner can apply to extend their stay as a Spouse or Civil Partner, which leads to long‑term settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain).
